Grinding concrete, removing a coating, leveling high spots, smoothing rough, textured areas and/or polishing the EDGES of a concrete surface have been a long-time challenge for most contractors. How do they get all the way tight against a wall or other vertical surface? How do they get under something or get into a tight space? People have been dealing with these issues for a long time with varying degrees of success. The edges usually present a problem that contractors don't want to deal with. Some have spent hours and hours on their hands and knees with an angle grinder fixing problems or smoothing the concrete; some have painted the edges by framing out the area; some get as close as they can and let the edges go. Now there's a simple solution. We'd like to introduce you to “The TMC-7” concrete edge grinder & polisher from EDCO. This unit will get those hard to reach places FASTER, EASIER, and more EFFICIENTLY.
NO MORE FRAMING
NO MORE EDGE TINT
NO NEED TO PAINT
NO NEED TO TAPE OFF
NO NEED TO BE ON YOUR HANDS & KNEES
STAND UP AND GRIND TIGHTLY AGAINST ANY VERTICAL SURFACE WITH EASE
This multi-purpose machine will Truly Take You To The Edge! It can be used as a polishing machine that is portable, easy to use and perfect for polishing around columns, along walls, other vertical surfaces as well as in tight areas. The 7” working width will polish 500-600 lineal feet per hour. It comes standard with a 4-position handle and a 4-position dust shroud allowing for maximum operator control. The TMC-7 comes standard with a flex-head assembly that enables it to follow the contours of any concrete surface.
This high-speed unit can double as an aggressive turbo grinding machine when equipped with a rigid head assembly and diamond grinding cup wheel. It's still portable, easy to use and will grind tightly against the wall while grinding the same 500-600 lineal feet per hour, but at about a 1/16” with a diamond cup wheel. When equipped with a diamond cup wheel, you can remove coatings, build-ups, high spots, markings, overlays, paints and more.
The TMC-7 combo edge grinder and edge polisher is an ideal rental machine because of its versatility, efficiency and high ROI.

Have you ever wondered which piece of Surface Preparation Equipment is the most versatile and profitable?
The answer is the EDCO CPM-8 Scarifier.
Although the machine is primarily known for its concrete and asphalt milling capabilities, the CPM8 is much more than a one-trick-pony. In fact, there are many reasons to purchase a CPM8. If you already own one, there may be other moneymaking applications you’ve never considered. For example, EDCO’s CPM8 Scarifier can be used to remove floor coverings, traffic lines, and level off the often-overlooked sidewalk trip hazard. Looking for more applications? The CPM8 can be used to clean surfaces and prepare them for new coatings. If you still aren’t convinced of the CPM-8’s versatility, consider this question: Do you have an outside ramp that becomes a slip hazard every time it rains? If so the machine can groove concrete and create non-slip surfaces that prevent falls.
The most popular accessory for the CPM-8 is the Tungsten Carbide Cutter. For milling and removal projects, fit the rotating drum with 78 cutters to create a general purpose set up. When I remove trip hazards I prefer to use 90 Carbides. More cutters create a tighter scarifying pattern. The hazard is removed leaving a perfect non-slip surface. Setting up a grooving pattern is a breeze; simply measure the groove needed and install the carbides accordingly. These accessories also remove Thermal Plastic Traffic Lines. To remove Painted Traffic Lines, use the EDCO Pointed Steel Cutters. These cutters are less aggressive and leave a finer textured surface. The Pointed Steel Cutters are also great for thicker elastomeric and rubber based coatings.
Let’s talk about the CPM8’s Return On Investment (ROI). Believe me when I tell you, the CPM-8 can pay for itself in just 15 Daily Rentals! The carbide cutters will last throughout those rentals, you’ll recoup the money spent on those accessories in just 5 daily rentals. That means over $1500.00 profit in accessories alone!
Hopefully this information about the EDCO CPM8 will open your mind to new opportunities. So get out there and rent that scarifier and if you don’t own one, put it on your buying list. The CPM-8 Scarifier is a great moneymaker for any rental business.
